The hot, dry months of September and October provide “the greatest show on earth” in terms of a wildlife safari experience in Botswana’s massive Chobe National Park. Many hundreds of elephants and buffalo congregate on the floodplains of the Chobe River and it is not unusual to marvel at a vista of thousands of animals.
This fact is reflected time after time in the ecstatic comments of guests at our eight-suite luxury Ngoma Safari Lodge. In recent days visitors from many corners of the globe, including USA, Australia, Sweden and UK, have proclaimed their delight of both the safari experience and the lodge.
“We are in love with this place,” enthused Dragan and Miriam from Sweden. “So peaceful and relaxing with game drives that give you a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Getting so close to elephants, buffalo and lions is just amazing! And the staff is fantastic! A wonderful spot in this world.”
Hannah and David from Somerset (UK) waxed lyrical in our guest book, saying that it was the perfect start to their African adventure. “Three nights is simply not enough…leaving Ngoma is like leaving family behind.” Managers Cathy and Synack are rated “the perfect hosts” and chef Paddington’s food “Michelin-Star standard….phenomenal every day.” Guide Shumi is hailed as “an absolute legend and a true story teller…we have never laughed quite so hard.” Service from Dignity, Bonolo and Lumba was “first class and made our stay truly perfect.”
Vera from San Francisco USA wrote that the view from her room and from the main lodge was “breathtaking” and that “amazing Ngoma staff attended to every detail and request”. This week has also seen Anita Stockbridge from New York enjoying a birthday safari with her daughter Tiffany Wardman from Bermuda who have thrilled to their first trip to Africa and, even from the lodge, have seen elephants, buffalo, sable, giraffe, zebra, impala, waterbuck, warthog, slender mongoose, baboons and vervet monkeys.
A South African family of four went for a night drive soon after their arrival and quickly spotted a leopard and two giant eagle owls.
Many of our guests are twinning their stay with Victoria Falls Safari Lodge, the flagship property of our Africa Albida Tourism Group portfolio, as the journey by road between the two lodges is just a couple of hours and is often a very rewarding game experience in itself.
