We recently had the pleasure of hosting the wonderful celeb chef Sarah Graham here at Victoria Falls Safari Lodge, where she was filming an episode of her cooking show: Sarah Graham’s Food Safari.
She teamed up with our head chef, Munya, and the two proceeded to make magic on the deck of Safari Lodge in front of our beautiful waterhole.
“Victoria Falls Safari Lodge is a gem,” she said in a blog post after filming. “Not just because of their delicious, delicious Warthog Steaks (which you’ll see me learn how to cook from their wonderful Chef Munya), but also because of its magnificent, endless views that almost swallow you whole.”
The whole crew was gasping at the magnificent view of the Zambezi National Park as they arrived at the lodge before filming.
“It’s breathtaking,” she said. “You feel utterly immersed in the beautiful African bush as you take in your surroundings. Below the deck of the lodge is a waterhole and the lodge has become famous as a much loved sundowner spot because it’s not uncommon for elephants, buffalo, giraffe, wildebeest, zebra and so many other kinds of wild animals to come down at sunset for a drink.”
Also in this episode, the team visited the Victoria Falls—One of the Seven Natural Wonders of The World—and took a slow walk through the adjacent rain forest.
“It’s a jewel in Zimbabwe’s crown and the sheer magnificence of the thundering sheet of water takes your breath away,” she said. “We explored for hours with the whole crew and it was such a special day.”
